Aidan O’Mahony is a former five-time All-Ireland Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Kerry senior football team.
With five All-Irelands, three NFLs, ten Munster Championships medals and two GAA All-Star Awards, Aidan O’Mahony is one of the most successful GAA players of all time.
A Garda Siochana member, Aidan played for Kerry’s U21 team in 2000 and 2001 and debuted for the Kerry senior team in 2003. Aidan picked up the ‘RTÉ Man of the Match Award’ for his 2006 All-Ireland Final performance against Mayo.
Announcing his retirement from inter-county football in January 2017, Aidan has made 70 championship appearances and featured in 85 league games for Kerry.
In January 2017, Aidan was a contestant on RTE’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and was crowned the first winner of the show.
