Alison started working in radio in Ireland in the summer of 1999 as the Senior Researcher on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show while at the same time Alison started presenting an evening show on Phantom FM.

Alison went on to be the producer of The Ian Dempsey Breakfast show during that time the show grew to the biggest breakfast show in the country. Alison started presenting The Last Splash in 2003, which went on to become one of the stations oldest running shows lasting over eight years. During that time, it grew from 4000 to a peak of 41,000 listeners and earned Alison 4 Meteor Music Award nominations for Best National DJ.

In 2008 Alison became a full time presenter for Today FM first with a night time show and then as the Early Morning breakfast show host. Alison started presenting the Saturday Breakfast Show on Today FM in March of 2013, since then the show has grown 50,000 listeners to 148,000 people tuning in weekly and is the third most listened show on the station, this past year Alison started presenting the Sunday Breakfast Show on Today FM which has the same remit to be an engaging, energetic and accessible show for young families.

Alison writes a bi-monthly blog for MummyPages.ie and teaches a syllabus at the School of Radio, and regularly MC’s and talks at numerous events and appears regularly on TV3.
